Peter Romano (Guitar)

Peter Romano began his professional career composing music and lyrics for The Actors Studio, including Touch the Names, in which he performed with Eva Marie Saint; the Ovation Award winning Fences, starring Charlie Robinson; and Unlisted, directed by William Devane. Peter has toured and performed with such artists as Irish Tenor Dennis McNeil, John Sommers (renowned for writing John Denver’s hit “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”), Larry Treadwell (guitarist for Thomas Dolby), Nathan East (of Eric Clapton’s band), and Uilleann Piper Paddy Keenan. He is a founding member of the popular bands The Brilliant Gypsies, The Ploughboys, Waking Kate, and Speyside. His performances have included The Los Angeles Irish Film Festival, The L.A. Irish Fair, The Ventura Highland Games, The Big Irish Fair at Irvine Lake, Scotsfest, The Bakersfield Celtic Music Festival, and The CTMS Equinox Festival. In addition, Peter now enjoys weekly residencies at two of L.A.’s finest pubs.
